Crochet Cluster Stitch
The double crochet cluster stitch is a beginner-friendly crochet stitch that consists of chain, single crochet, and double crochet. It’s a simple crochet stitch to learn and would make a great addition to your stitch library.
Some crochet project ideas you can make with this stitch include cozy blankets, chunky pillows, or flowy cardigans. What are you planning to make with this stitch?
This modern crochet stitch works up quickly as it’s made from a 2-row repeat. The first row of the repeat is made from a combination of chains and double crochet cluster stitches. The second repeat row is made from chains and single crochet stitches.
Different Types of Crochet Cluster Stitches
There are several variations of the cluster stitch that you can make. You can make a single crochet cluster stitch, double crochet cluster stitch, or a treble cluster stitch.
All of these different variations follow the same pattern, the only difference is the stitch that makes up the cluster. I personally love the double crochet version, because it works up fast. The treble version works up even faster as that stitch has a lot of height to it.
You could also make a cluster that has 2 or 3 stitches in it, than the regular 5. So you can definitely experiment with this stitch pattern and see what you like best!
