2 Color Crochet Infinity Scarf Pattern

My latest free pattern is a cozy, oversized, crochet infinity scarf. If you love texture, you’re going to love this pattern!

The Dune Infinity Scarf is a fairly simple crochet pattern that’s made using the cluster stitch. This fun stitch is a 2-row repeat that uses basic crochet stitches.

If you can single crochet, and double crochet, you can totally make this stitch pattern!

Double Crochet Cluster Stitch Scarf

One thing that I love about this pattern is the simplicity of it. After making a few crochet blankets (like this striped moss stitch blanket), I really wanted to make something quick and easy.

So one thing came to mind, a bulky weight scarf. These patterns are fun to make and work up quickly. So after toying around with a few stitches, I decided on a double crochet cluster stitch.

The double crochet cluster stitch is made by making a couple of uncompleted double crochets, and then you close these double crochets together by yarning over.

So kind of like a bobble stitch, except you have double crochets on your hook. Alright, let’s talk about the yarn you’ll use for this scarf pattern.

The Yarn You’ll Need for This Chunky Infinity Scarf

For this crochet infinity scarf pattern, you will need 2 different colors of bulky weight yarn. I used Lion Brand Hue + Me yarn, which is a number 5 bulky weight yarn that’s made from an acrylic/wool blend.

I love using this yarn and have used it for a couple of different patterns. So I definitely recommend it if you can get your hands on it. If not, any bulky weight yarn will do.

Just make sure to do a gauge swatch, as some bulkier yarns can be a lot thicker or thinner. You can always check out yarnsub.com for some yarn substitutions.

How to Seam Your Scarf Together

Step 1: Grab one side of your scarf and lay it on top of the other side of your scarf.

The front and back side of a scarf.

Step 2: Grab your crochet hook and insert it on the right corner side of both panels. Then loop your yarn over the hook, and pull through.

Continue by yarning over once more to create a chain, and then slip stitch in each space across.

Step 3: Once you have come to the end of the side, yarn over to create another chain, and flip your scarf over the other side.

Now continue making slip stitches all the way across the other side. Once you have finished making slip stitches, cut your yarn, and tie a knot.

You’re finished! I hope you enjoyed making this chunky crochet infinity scarf!
