This modern crochet stitch works up quickly and has great texture! The little v’s in this stitch are made by crocheting one double crochet, chain, and another double crochet in one stitch.
Crochet V-Stitch Variations
There are a lot of different crochet v-stitch variations you can use in your crochet projects. Some of these v-stitch variations are single crochet, double crochet, half double crochet, or treble crochet.

Abbreviations (U.S. terms):
ch – chain: Yarn over, pull through loop on hook.
dc – double crochet: Yarn over, insert hook into stitch and pull through, yarn over and pull through first two loops on hook, yarn over and pull through last two loops on hook.
Stitch Pattern
Chain a multiple of 3 plus 1
Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook, ch 1, dc in next ch, *skip next ch, dc in next ch, ch 1, dc in next ch, rep from * across to within last 2 ch, skip next ch, dc in last ch, turn.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), (dc, ch 1, dc) in each ch-1 space across to last ch-1 space, dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, turn.
Repeat Row 2 to however long you want your project to be.
