Read on about my crochet blogging journey. Part 1 is about why I started a crochet blog and how my crochet blogging journey is going.
How’s everybody doing out there?
With the current circumstances, I hope everyone is safe and doing well.
Today’s post is going to be a little different than my usual crochet pattern post. I thought it would be fun to talk a bit about my crochet blogging journey and how its going so far with this blog.
Let’s start in the beginning, I started my crochet blog towards the end of 2018. I posted my very first blog post on December 5th and didn’t start blogging until later 2019. When I think about that time, to now, all I can say is that its been a crazy ride. In my life outside of blogging, as well as starting this crochet blog.
Graduating from university and trying to find a job has been looking like one long jumbled line. And so I’m very grateful that I started this blog because crochet has definitely been my outlet at times when I felt frustrated and stressed.
Speaking from my heart, I definitely encourage anybody who is feeling a little lost or maybe stressed to find a hobby that you enjoy and start a blog on it. Just do it for fun and write till your hearts content. It can definitely help 🙂
Anyhow, looking back at my blog post over the last couple of months. I think I finally figured out my crochet style. I love creating modern, fun, timeless pieces that you can wear year after year.
When I first started my crochet blogging journey, I really didn’t know what I wanted to crochet or wanted this blog to be about. All I knew is that it made me really happy and it got my creative juices flowing again.
After making a couple of pieces and figuring out my style, it just came naturally.
I get a thrill out of sketching and designing crochet pieces. Its so much fun and I’m so glad that you guys are enjoying the crochet patterns!
I even started an Etsy shop and started selling my patterns. Never thought I would do that as it can be quite intimidating. But you know what, I just went for it and am so happy that I did!!
I’ve learned so many different things already on how to run a crochet pattern shop. And its all because I started a blog on crochet.
My crochet blog has even started to gain some more traffic. Its definitely been exciting seeing the traffic go up each month. I feel like I learn something new every week with blogging.
Anyhow I hope you enjoyed this little post and watch out for another part 2 coming in a couple of months.
I might even make this a regular thing here on the blog. It’ll be cool to look back on during my crochet blogging journey.
Have a beautiful day!
